The quotes continue. If you have been reading my blog over the past months, you already know what to do with it. I am going to stop explaining after this post. And just put the quote up. Go back and read the old ones if you want to know more about what I am quoting. And I will have answers next week.
Health and Well-Being: Well, Mhari didn’t get her bad tooth taken care of… another paperwork snafu came up and she’s just going to have to wait to get it taken care of after she has recovered enough from her big surgery. Said big surgery is coming the middle of next week. I will provide updates here in this blog as I have news on that. As to my own health, I had some really bad back issues this past week. Dr James has worked on my back last night and so long as I get myself into some changes in posture and bed habits/environment, things will be better and not get worse again. But I was really bad on Tuesday. Better now.
City of Heroes/Villains: Life continues. It’s four years the game has existed and I have been playing it all that time. I still love it! I expect to be playing it for a long time to come. The big news next week is that if all goes well Issue 12 will go into Open Beta! Yay! I am looking forward to that!
Eve Online:Tonight when I get home the character on account #3 will get transfered into slot 3 on account #1 and account #3 will be closed on the 5th. I will be down to a single account and we will see how long I maintain that. I just hardly have time in my life to play CoX, how do I have time to play EO as well?
Answers to last week’s Quote:
Quote: "I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do."
Who said it: HAL, who was voiced by Douglas Rain
In what movie: 2001: A Space Odyssey
Which was released in: 1968
This movie has affected me many times in my life. I remember it being one of the first movies I was taken to see. But I don’t remember if it was during it’s first run (as I would have been quite young) or not. I remember the program book. I don’t think it was the first run. I think it was it’s first re-release back in the 70’s. Back when movies didn’t come out on DvD the year following their release. When movies, at least the really good ones, came into the theaters a 2nd or 3rd time before they went to TV, if they ever DID go to TV.
Then back IN 2001, I paid homage to this movie and it’s program book when I was the editor-in-chief of the Further Confusion 2001: A Furry Odyssey ConBook. I am still very proud of that book.
I have watched this film many, many times. And I expect to watch it many more.
That’s all I have, today. Thanks for reading.
